7th Annual Monarch Celebration

(Hosted at Hidden Hill Nursery & Sculpture Garden)

The Monarch Celebration has a new location. HIDDEN HILL NURSERY AND SCULPTURE GARDEN will host The 7th Annual Monarch Celebration. Each year the Arts Council of Southern Indiana hosts this event to celebrate the annual migration of the Monarch butterfly.

The event has grown over the years and we are fortunate to be collaborating with Hidden Hill. Now the event will take place amid the beautiful gardens, greenhouses and sculpture of Hidden Hill. This will provide the butterflies with the perfect habitat and our visitors with a myriad of wonderful gardens, activities and yes SHADE.

The Monarch butterfly makes an annual migration to Mexico and the southern United States each autumn. The Arts Council is an official Monarch way station dedicated to the preservation of the species, which is slowly dying out because of habitat loss and pollution. By raising awareness and providing education, the Arts Council hopes to help the Monarch thrive for years to come.

The Arts Council and Hidden Hill Nursery and Sculpture Garden will host a number of local vendors, artists, music, performances, and activities, including the release of Monarch butterflies, educational programs, tours, fairy garden and sculpture building projects, and the bubble field.
